0 - The Fool - Subaru

Here's the third card in the "Isekai Tarot Card Deck" project I am developing - The Fool! The character "Subaru" comes from the anime "Re:Zero." The John Travolta "Saturday Night Fever" pose is one of the character's signature moves, usually when he introduces himself - it does a great job of characterizing his foolishness, so I had to include it.

For any of you anime fans out there, this is the third piece of card artwork that I am illustrating for a tarot deck themed around the genre of "isekai." For those not in the know, "isekai" is a Japanese word that translates to "different world." It's a genre wherein the protagonist often comes from Earth and is transported to a fantasy world. The characters I am illustrating for this deck come from some of the more popular isekai shows over the past several years.
