Here's the seventh card in the "Isekai Tarot Card Deck" project I am developing - The Devil! The character "Tanya" comes from the anime "Saga of Tanya the Evil", or "Youjo Senki". The Devil card symbolizes many things: domination and influence over others, strong drive, being caged by your successes, cruelty, evil, temptation, and addiction. A modern-day sociopath salary-man reborn into the body of a small girl in country resembling Imperial Germany at the brink of WWI, atheistic Tanya curses the name of "God". She swears revenge on this "Being X" for the cruelty inflicted upon her. Her drive to dominate her destiny bleeds over into the destinies of those around her and her country as a whole.

For any of you anime fans out there, this is the seventh piece of card artwork that I am illustrating for a tarot deck themed around the genre of "isekai." For those not in the know, "isekai" is a Japanese word that translates to "different world." It's a genre wherein the protagonist often comes from Earth and is transported to a fantasy world. The characters I am illustrating for this deck come from some of the more popular isekai shows over the past several years.
